What is Trials?

Trials is an exercise in extreme bike handling skills.

Definition: Stemming from motorcycle trials, the object of mountain bike trials is for riders to navigate their way through an obstacle course on their bike without touching a foot to the ground. The course, which typically consists of both manmade and natural obstacles, is un-rideable to most, and requires extreme bike handling skills. Riders use a specific singlespeed trials bike with one low gear, low tire pressure, a low saddle and strong brakes, among other features.

See it for yourself! Watch pro Danny MacAskill perform some pretty amazing trials riding.
