Mountain Biking Stocking Stuffers

By , About.com Guide

These days, if you’re anything like me your stocking overflows with lackluster “gifts,” such as chapstick, deodorant and toothpaste. (Perhaps the big bearded man is trying to tell me something about my hygiene…)

A word of advice? Break the cycle.

Stuff your mountain biker’s stocking with what he really wants this year: pocket-sized, cycling-specific goodies! Here’s a list of what I think any mountain biker would like to find in their stocking, including yours truly.

Peppermint Stick CLIF® Bar

CLIF Bar has recently added another seasonal flavor to its line-up: Peppermint Stick. The winter-spirited energy bar joins previously released flavors Spiced Pumpkin Pie and Iced Gingerbread to create a holiday trifecta of deliciousness for the 2011 season. The mountain biker on your list will love biting into classic cool-tasting peppermint flavor, fresh baked pumpkin pie, and sweet and spicy iced gingerbread on their next ride. Not only are CLIF Bars expertly baked to taste delightful, they also deliver an athlete-crafted blend of carbohydrates, protein and fiber for sustained energy. Each one of the three seasonal flavors are made with organic ingredients and available nationwide. CLIF Bar has also committed to donating 1 percent of net sales from the holiday-inspired flavors to Winter Wildlands Alliance, a national organization that operates on behalf of outdoor adventurers to address national winter wildlands issues. (P.S. Don't throw out the wrappers!) MSRP: $1.39
