Guide Review - Truvativ Team Seat Post - Single Clamp
When we first received the Truvativ Team Seat Post we were concerned that the single bolt design may have a tendency to creak. This however, never was a problem.
The single clamp Truvativ Team Seat Post has a considerable rearward offset of 25mm. If you are replacing a seat post on your bike with the Truvativ Team Seat Post, you will want to make sure the offset won't force your seat further back than you want it. Otherwise you may want to consider the double clamp Truvativ Team Seat Post.
The only issue we had with the Truvativ Team Seat Post was the rough and smooth finish on the shaft. The rough finish grips well when clamped but if you try to drop the seat post down so it has to grip the smooth section, it doesn't hold as well and will require adjustment if you have a quick release clamp.
Overall, the single clamp Truvativ Team Seat Post is a good seat post with better than average adjustment. Don't buy the single clamp version if you plan on doing a lot of freeriding or downhilling. This is an XC or all mountain seat post.
