Guide Review - Race Face Deus Seatpost - Product Review of the Race Face Deus Seatpost
This head design, common to all Race Face XC posts, offers independent adjustment of seat angle and seat position. Adjustment of the Race Face Deus seatpost is intuitive and there there is no fumbling with a loose seat while trying to make the adjustments.
We tested our Race Face Deus seatpost on some hard hitting rides in Moab as well as some local cross county cruisers. We never experienced any performance issues with the race face Deus seatpost and were impressed with its adjustability and weight.
The initial setup of the Race Face Deus seatpost is simple. We found it was easiest to let the side clamps fall out of place, snap the seat rails into place on the clamp, and then re-position the side clamps back into place. Once everything is in place, the position and angular adjustments are incredibly simple.
Our Adjustment collar felt a little catchy on the seatpost during our initial setup but after using the seatpost, subsequent adjustments were smooth as butter.
Cutting down the lightweight triple butted tube to short lengths is not recommended.
We were impressed with the weight, look, and functionality of the Race Face Deus seatpost. No doubt, there is no simpler way to adjust a bicycle seat and there is no compromise on strength or weight. This is how a seatpost should be.
