Guide Review - Race Face Deus Cranks
You will need to know the size of your bottom bracket before installing the Race Face Dues cranks. The X-Type bottom bracket of the Race Face Deus Cranks requires a specific spacer configuration for each bottom bracket length. I installed the spacers for a 68mm BB only to realize my BB is 73mm. When you get it right, installation is simple.
We have been riding the Race Face Deus Cranks for about 3 months now, on both long cross country as well as some hard technical rides. They are light and efficient while climbing and strong when taking harder hits or drops. We never had any problems with the Deus's. They have performed flawlessly.
The looks of the machined aluminum will go great with any color of bike. I always liked how the old Race Face Turbine LP's looked and the Race Face Deus Cranks have certainly kept up with if not exceeded them.
Although we did not experience this, some people who angle their heels in (pronate) excessively while riding, have found they can catch their shoes on the machined edges of the Race Face Deus Cranks.
