The Bottom Line
This is a well thought out system that requires no real installation and no brains to operate. The Sportworks Insta-Gater truck bed Bike rack is the best truck bed style bike rack I have used to date.

Guide Review - Sportworks Insta-Gater Truck Bed Bike Rack
The Insta-Gater truck bed bike rack attaches into the bed with some tabs that fit between your truck bed and the closed or partially closed tailgate. Once in place you simply tighten the tabs with some ratcheting levers and your done. No screws, no holes, nothing.
We really liked the Sportworks Insta-Gater bike rack because of the easy setup and especially because it will hold every single bike we have. Since the Insta-Gater holds the front wheel, bike and frame style are irrelevant. Every bike has a front wheel.
The rack does work with flat tires, but if you have a tire that is going flat slowly, you will want to tighten the rack as it goes flat.
There are a couple drawbacks to this rack. First, they go along the tailgate only, so you can't put a whole lot of them in your truck bed. Second, there is no easy way to lock the rack or your bike into your truck bed. If you want to lock your bike or the rack you will have to run a cable lock through the rack and your bike and a tab in your truck bed.
Overall, the Sportworks Insta-Gater is a great high end truck bed bike rack. It's not cheap, but if you can afford it, the tire range and the easy operation make it well worth the extra cash.
