I read a medical cartoon once in which the doctor's thought bubble read, "You've suffered a contusion to the soft tissue below the fourth thoracic vertebrae, exacerbating the proximal sternum." The bottom of the drawing said, "Translation: 'You have a bruised rib.'"

This is exactly how I feel sometimes after a visit to the doctor. And judging by this comic strip, I can't be the only one.
