2007 WTB Product Update

Tuesday October 3, 2006
2007 will be a big year for tires over at WTB. For the new model year they are introducing 9 new tire designs. Don't worry, they kept most of the old favorites, they just added a lot more choices.

The highlights for us were the Stout and Prowler tires for all mountain riding, the Dissent, TimberWolf, and the Prowler MX for downhill. For cross country on good hardpack, we liked the new Vulpine.

For all the 29 inch wheel fan's, and this number is growing quickly, they now have no fewer than 5 tire choices, ranging from XC to a new hardcore all mountain WeirWolf LT 29" (2.55 inch diameter tire!). Do I smell some 29" downhill bikes in the future?

They are also offering some new wheels this year. The New LaserDisc Trail wheels are light and strong for all mountain racing. The 21mm width of these wheels are spot on for this category. The same rims also offered in a 29" version, the new LaserDisc Trail 29er wheels. We are also looking forward to the new LaserDisc FR wheels, freeride wheels for the gravity set.
